Practical Magic

201: The High Priestess

Get Ready for a Witchy Summer!

Practical Magic: High Priestess is a 6 week summer intensive taught by Vira on Zoom starting Thursday June 17th at 5-7pm PST. The 201 course is centered around the teachings of the High Priestess Tarot card and is designed for our Practical Magic community to deepen our knowledge of daily ritual, magic and reading tarot. The High Priestess represents the character in history who is a witch who heals others by divine and intuitive guidance. We will be honoring the High Priestess within by understanding the balance of using our intuition to both heal ourselves and self-create in our own lives, while at the same time, holding space for others to do their own healing. In the first half of the course, we’ll continue to deepen our intuitive skill reading for ourselves, and in the second half of the course will focus on understanding how to read for others. We will also honor the importance of the witch in history by learning about the origins of mysticism and magic. There will be plenty of hands-on practice reading for ourselves and others in class!

Connect to Intuition

Part of fine-tuning our skill reading for ourselves and for others is connecting with our intuition to receive clarity. We can have the deck memorized, but if we aren’t connected to our deeper wisdom, we may not be allowing for the most accurate or successful reading. In the 201 course, we’ll be learning attune ourselves to our intuition, and read the energy of the cards. We will learn techniques for understanding and reading energy and then try them out and practice with each other. We will also learn how to read the energy of those that we read for. We will learn the art of holding space for our querrents and how to mirror their experience so they can receive the guidance and direction we provide for them.

Magic Shouldn’t Be Exhausting

In the first course, we learned how to read and actively participate in ritual, in this course, we are going to learn how to do less. If you’ve pulled cards for yourself, you’ve likely pulled a card you didn’t like, then pulled another, and another, and the next thing you know, you have 15 cards in front of you and more confusion than when you started.

When the High Priestess comes up in a reading, it’s often a sign that we need to sit and wait for the universe to present us guidance, in fact, it’s an invitation to listen and do less. We’ll be taking this principle into our ritual work by more deeply understanding our intuition, we will also learn how to extend our magic, and set longer intentions. Being witchy shouldn’t be exhausting, we’ll learn how to fight the witch burnout.

The Course

TheFool

Practical Magic 201 is a 6 week intensive course with 6, 2 hour live classes on Zoom each week. We’ve already learned from the first course how powerful it is to learn in community. Unlike other Tarot courses, the Practical Magic classroom setting helps us learn faster, try different elements in real time, and test out reading for others. Class size will be limited just like last time, so you will have plenty of time to participate, ask questions and practice in real time.

You will receive deeper knowledge of the Tarot, including new spreads, Tarot card combinations and reading for others. Each week we will dive into ritual and magic, and this time, we will begin to work with physical spells as a way to set intentions.

Community is important when unearthing the magical parts of ourselves. This way we can share what we’re learning, ask questions and try out what we’ve learned. Just like last time, I will be available for questions in the Facebook group as you’re practicing throughout the week. I cannot wait to dive back in with you all, I’ve missed you all dearly!

The overwhelming feedback from our community is that you wanted a longer course in weeks and in hours per class, therefore the class is double the amount of time in!

While I have no say in what you do with the knowledge you receive from this course, I recommend a few years of study before you start to take on paying clients. I definitely recommend you practice with this information for about 6 months, and if you feel comfortable, donation based readings are a lovely place to start.

I can share my knowledge and expertise with you but it is up to you how much you practice and get from the course. Magic and tarot is a practice. We come to it as a practice and see what happens every time. It is my hope that we will all forever be students of magic.
